Workshop mit Nada Judi
Dieser Workshop wird in englischer Sprache abgehalten!
Während dieses Workshops werden wir:
- Eine Einführung in die Cyanotypie-Methode und ein kurzes Verständnis ihrer Geschichte und Verwendung erhalten,
- einen Spaziergang machen, um einige Gegenstände aus der Natur zu sammeln, die wir in unsere Drucke einbauen können,
- praktisches Experimentieren mit Cyanotypie-Chemikalien für den Druck in der Sonne üben,
- gemeinsam an einem kleinen Cyanotypie-Zine arbeiten.
Es ist keine Erfahrung mit irgendetwas erforderlich. Kommt und habt Spaß und erforscht, was Cyanotypien und die Sonne bewirken können!
Nada Judi (they/them) ist ein*e multidisziplinäre*r Künstler*in und Kurator*in aus Kairo. Nada arbeitet mit verschiedenen Medien wie Illustration, Druckgrafik, Malerei und Tätowierung. Nada hat die Universität Brighton besucht, wo Nada einen BA in Philosophie, Politik und Kunst erworben hat. Nada’s Leidenschaft gilt dem Aufbau von Gemeinschaften und der Förderung von Kunst und Kultur. 2020 kehrt Nada nach Kairo zurück, um sich in der kulturellen und künstlerischen Szene der Heimat zu engagieren. Im Jahr 2022 beendete Nada einen Künstleraufenthalt bei Modzi Arts in Lusaka, Sambia, mit einer offenen Atelierveranstaltung, bei der eine Reihe von Gemälden präsentiert wurden, die sich mit der Überwindung binärer Grenzen befassten. Kürzlich kuratierte Nada im Rahmen der Cairo Photo Week 2023 eine Fotoausstellung mit dem Titel "Conversations with the Women of Cairo" (Gespräche mit den Frauen von Kairo), die sich mit dem Thema Curiosity Birthed the Cat befasste. Nada erforscht persönliche und politische Themen und lässt dem Werk die Wahl des Mediums.

This workshop will be held in English!
During this workshop we will be:
- Introduced to the cyanotype printing method and a brief understanding of its history and use
- Take a walk around to collect some items to incorporate into our prints from nature
- Start our practical experimentation with cyanotype chemicals to print in the sun
- Work on a small collaborative cyanotype zine together
No experience with anything needed. Come have fun and explore what cyanotypes and the sun can do!
Nada Judi (they/them) is a multidisciplinary artist and curator from Cairo. They use multiple mediums such as illustration, printmaking, painting, and tattooing. They attended Brighton university where they received a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Art. They are passionate about community building and facilitation in arts/culture, and have returned to Cairo in 2020 to engage with the cultural and artistic scene at home. In 2022, Nada concluded their artist residency at Modzi Arts in Lusaka, Zambia with an open studio event where they showcased a series of paintings that explored going beyond binary limitations. More recently, they curated a photography exhibition as a part of Cairo Photo Week 2023, titled 'Conversations with the Women of Cairo' which focused on the theme Curiosity Birthed the Cat. They explore personal and political themes, and allow for the work to choose the medium.
